Pittsburgh Pet Concierge Pet Resort Pet boarding & Dog Daycare Vaccination & Health Requirements
Pittsburgh Pet Concierge values the health and safety of all our guests. For any service in which your dog or cat is to enter our resort or be under our care, the below vaccination requirements must be met. All vaccinations are to be provided from your veterinarian's office or a copy can be provided from the client. If your pet is not up to date on the vaccinations listed, we reserve the right to refuse all services. All vaccinations must be current through the end of the stay and may not expire while under our care. Our system tracks all of our guest's vaccinations and expiration dates. You will receive an email notification alerting you to a vaccination that is to expire soon. We thank you for assistance.
Required Vaccines for Dogs & Cats
Required Stool Testing for Dogs
FVRCP & Rabies vaccinations. MUST BE CURRENT
For Dogs: We require proof of 3 vaccines and results from a *specific* Fecal Test (see below).
Required Dog Vaccines:
1. Rabies Vaccine MUST BE CURRENT
2. Distemper Combo Vaccine MUST BE CURRENT
3. Bordetella Vaccine MUST BE CURRENT
Fecal Antigen testing results (testing results from within the last 180 days is as far back as we would accept) IF you never did a fecal test on your dog or it has been longer than six months since you had a fecal sample tested your dog:
1. Simply collect a fresh sample and place into a Ziploc bag.
2. Hop in the car and drive the sample to your veterinarian office
You DO NOT NEED an appointment with your veterinarian office to drop off a stool sample.
3. When you arrive, please read the quoted text so the correct test is ordered:
The fecal test you want to tell them is:
"Fecal OVA/PARASITE ANTIGEN TEST WITH GIARDIA"
Fecal lab results take 24 to 72 hours, and any treatment (if necessary) requires 1-6 weeks depending on your results.
We strongly recommend dropping off a sample at your vet as soon as you know you need to board. PLEASE INSTRUCT YOUR VETERINARIAN OFFICE TO FAX RESULTS TO US AT: 412.856.8505
ADDITIONALLY: Please phone your vet to find out the expiration dates for all required vaccines and fecal exams. If you cannot find your records but know that your pet meets our health requirements: Please call your veterinarian and ask them to fax a vaccine summary and fecal testing results to 412.856.8505
We will not honor a stay without these requirements being met. It is your responsibility to ensure the health requirements are met.
Veterinarian Vaccine waivers are accepted in certain circumstances such as immune system conditions & allergies. We will need a signed letter from your veterinarian indicating such.
If any animal is showing signs of illness upon arrival/drop off such as cough or green discharge (from the nose or eyes) we will not be able to honor your stay and we will ask you to leave without hesitation - we apologize for any inconvenience, but the health and safety of our resort guests is paramount.
